Located in the heart of the city, Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Centre is designated as the regional center of Northern art & culture. The museum is replaced in an old elegant architectural building which was used as the central administrative office and later the Provincial Hall of Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Centre is the history of Chiang Mai region museum documenting the background information from past to present of the history and culture of the region.

The museum exhibits many informative exhibitions of Chiang Mai City divided into 15 rooms with the help of multimedia to help you know more easier. The exhibitions are Chiang Mai Today, The Prehistory of Chiang Mai, The Civilizations of Two Valleys, Establishing the City, Environment and Culture, The Past 100 Years, Good Aspects of Chiang Mai, The Historical Building, The Rulers of chiang Mai, Life on the Banks of River, People of the Old City, Buddhism, Bai Sri Toon Phra Kwan, Agricultural Society,and Mountain People.

This musuem are opened from Tuesday to Sunday from 08.30-17.00 hrs. and will be closed on Monday for every week. To get there, it is very easy by telling the public Red Truck to the museum. For the admission fee, it is 90 baht for adult and just only 40 baht for student.

It is necessary to get to know more information of visiting city on your travel as much as possible. To know it and love Chiang Mai more, I suggest this museum to be your learning museum of the city when visiting Chiang Mai.

How to get there:

            Take Route 107 from Chiang Mai to Chom Thong and turn right at Route 1009 to the kilometers of 48 along the route. Then continue driving to Doi Ang Khang.

Known as Doi Luang or Doi Ang ka in the past, Doi Inthanon is considered as the highest mountain in Thailand.

Doi Inthanon is situated at 2,565 meter above sea level. So, the weather at this famous natural park is remaining cold throughout the year, particularly on the peak of the National Park. In winter, the temperature here is under 0„ ac, and is also still cold on the top in summer. Hence, it is recommended that you put on thick clothes when you are up there.

Set as the country’s importance heritage, the forest in the park has been preserved from generations to generations. Moist Evergreen Forest, Pine forest, and Mixed Deciduous Forest are the forests in Doi- Inthanon. Beautiful flowers such as vanda orchid, phycastylis, and rhododendron are also grown here. Also, Sphagnum Moss and osmanda are also found in the park.

The park has the largest number of bird species because of the broad altitudinal range and the cold climate of this Natural park.
